Rockin' Girl Blogger

I am very honored that Soccer Mom in Denial awarded me the Rockin' Girl Blogger award! It made my day. Getting an award is exciting in and of itself, obviously as long as it's something good and not for something like worst blog ever or woman whose eyebrows bear the most striking resemblance to Michael Dukakis's, but it's even better because it came from one of my favorite bloggers.

In no particular order, here's who I'm awarding the Rockin' Girl Blogger award:

CUSS and Other Rants: Suzanne is my blogging inspiration. She's a terrific person and someone that I admire a lot. Oh, did I mention she's my younger son's godmother? We've been friends for 13 years.
Hedda Dabbler: In addition to being a cool blogger, she made up a verse to Old McDonald inspired by my older son's imaginary pet chinchilla. While that may be more country than rock, it's hard to top that!
The Wonderful World of Des: I've been reading Des' blog since the fall when I started my blog. I enjoy her writing and I particularly like the way she describes her work.
Jodifur: I like reading her posts because she's not scared to voice her opinion. Plus it's fun to exchange emails with her.
Just Thinking: The name of her blog says it all.

It was hard picking because I really enjoy reading all the blogs on my blogroll. Thanks again, Soccer Mom in Denial!

I must admit I didn't see my name at first, and I saw Suzanne's, and I was disappointed. I told someone the other day that I'm like the cousin that lives in the house when you marry CUSS. I don't know what that means, but there you have it.

Aw! Thanks for the award and your kind words!!! It was the perfect anniversary gift!

I think we have been friends for more than 13 years, though. If we were juniors in 1992, that would make us friends for 15 years....

We prefer to think of the chinchilla verse as more rockabilly than country :) Thanks for the honour! It's good to know that there are people other than our immediate families who enjoy the ramblings of two new moms.
